I've got a tube of the Tacx Carbon Assembly Compound and it works fine for me (used on carbon road bars and seatposts for both my bikes).

This. I've found the finish line to be better than the others.

Carbon paste and a torque wrench important to torque to spec

Start with carbon paste, as everyone has mentioned. I had a post still slip after coating it with paste (and the inside of the seat tube), and a bike mechanic told me to grease the bolt threads on the collar clamp. He said sometimes the friction of dry bolt threads in the collar clamp can cause you to under-torque the bolt because it binds up a bit. This solved my problem.

Not all carbon pastes are made equal.
The Tacx one is quite mild and the Park Tool one is incredibly aggressive.
If the mild ones don't work the aggressive ones will.

Everyone has already said carbon paste and 100% agree you must use that BUT also check the dimensions on your post. Some posts can run .1 or .2 off spec so have your shop check that for you before putting the paste on. Also make sure to grease your binder bolt and use a calibrated torque wrench.

Hope that helps.

This happened to me once, issue was the seatpost bolt wasnt lubed. So it felt like the seatpost bolt was tight but it wasnt.

I once used Finesse hairspray on my road bike that had a round carbon seatpost that was slipping. Once it dried it was sticky and the post never slipped down again.
