Has anyone heard of folks buying a "Smart" resistance unit and swapping it on to their older, dumber trainer? Seems like that ought to be an inexpensive way to end up with a Smart trainer.
By "Smart" I mean electronically controlled resistance.
I see lots of new Smart resistance units (no stand, just the resistance unit) for sale on ebay, but I've not found anyone talking about attaching them to a dumb trainer.
