Is it safe to ride rollers on a geared bike? or should i reserve the rollers for fixed gear only?? thanks, Dean

Yes you can use a geared bike on rollers. Just get used to riding in one gear before you go crashing, er uhm, I mean changing gears.

I change gears on rollers to simulate change in terrain, also breaks monotony. It's definitely doable-just do it.

Not saying it's not doable. I'm saying get used to riding the rollers before you try and change gears. Kind of like crawling before you walk.

Put some old matresses on each side of the rollers before changing gears. Concrete hurts!! Although the "tuck and roll" fall technique works pretty well!!
