The OP's effort on this particular segment is pretty badass irrespective of assistance or solo. And as he mentioned, he rode it out front. The park loop road is roughly a true 30k with approximately 1,700 vertical of climbing mostly up and down with almost no straights or flat sections. I believe he and the KOM went under 44 minutes and that maybe only 5 guys have posted times under 47 minutes (out of 1,700 or so recorded rides). This isn't like claiming the 1.5 mile sprint on a country road where the pack and tail wind makes the difference. The KOM for the loop is a 20-year old college rider and did it on a road bike (no aero gear) with great climbing legs.
