Raliegh-Durham in the spring?
Looking at the calendar and thinking about training schedules; I'm thinking about a training week away in mid-march. Is Raleigh Durham nice enough for a bike week (coming from nyc) that time of year? I have friends in the area, so I was thinking it might be a nice visit.

I know I could do it. I'm asking if I'm going to enjoy it (i.e., get to wear shorts again instead of the dozen layers I need up here).

It's a crap shoot in mid march around here. It could be in the low 60s or it could be snowing. You would have to follow the weather close in to figure whether it would be a go. I will keep my fingers crossed for you!

Crap shot is right. It snowed there on April 1st a few years ago. But go there any way. If the weather is not favorable for cycling, it surely will be favorable for trail running. Two hours east (on the coast) the weather seems to always be warmer. Cycle the outer banks.
