Gatorade Endurance - missed opportunity
Looks like Gatorade Endurance (GE) updated their formula. I just wished they would have done more to nail the type of sugars they use. Many athletes use maltodextrin or various polysaccharides to prevent GI upset and facilitate a more steady state of carbohydrate absorption (CarboPro, Ucann) and I think this works for the liquid nutrition group (+1). I wish GE had followed suit. The label states that the CHO content is 21/22g "sugars", and then describes these as being 'sugar' (i.e. Glucose, Fructose, Galactose) and Dextrose (GLU-GLU). I find anything with fructose and galactose causes me to have bloating and GI upset. Gatorade could have nailed it, since I know many of us would love to be able to train and race with the same product without having to MacGeyvor crazy hydration solutions and use special needs. My 2 cents.
