Not sure what her plan was but it was poorly executed.

So, I suppose that it is only polite to apologize for not allowing her to carry out her jihad.

Being an American, I will be happy to tell you how you Canadians should handle this. :)

This 'attack' took place in the Mall I frequented most as a kid. I had the Pole Position high score for about a week at the bowling alley arcade!

BLeP rules!!!

Interesting that her first name is Rehab, because that's what she needs.

Reality and Rehab should be put in a cell together.

It's because of Canada's endless wars in the Middle East.

You have brought this on yourself.

Hmmm, replace Canada with Australia and thats exactly what the left here is Oz is saying about the recent Melbourne terrorist attack.

Funny (well, not really) how both this idiot and the Lindt siege clown were both out on either bail or parole.
Seems the judiciary here has some explaining do to.... except they refuse to be second guessed by the unwashed masses

A radio report in the article some woman reporter says "it's unclear whether this was a terrorist attack".

Yeah. Real unclear.

Yeah. Real unclear.

She was obviously upset that as a Canadian they were not spelling it as 'tyre'.

They should have made her remove her face garb in court, then pie-faced her with poutine.

Well of course Canadians wouldn't spell it as tyre. That would be incorrect.

From what I read Canada seems to be caught between US language for some aspects and international English for others.

There is good reason for it in this instance. Cars were invented after North America was discovered. So in Canada we use terms for cars that Americans use mostly because we are closer to them and they exert more influence over us. So we use trunk, hood and tire rather than boot, bonnet and tyre.

Some people will use boot and bonnet here but mostly they are just trying to be different.

But for other things like spellings of words that existed before we moved over here we use the British spellings. That is likely because the "loyalists" in North America moved to Canada and felt compelled to use British spellings.

Somewhat related, one of my wife's friends moved to England for about two years and came back speaking "British". She said lift instead of elevator, flat instead of apartment and tomahto instead of tomayto. It was totally put on. Drove me nuts.

When I first went to Canada to meet the future wife's family they had such a laugh when I told them about boots and bonnets. Then there were foot paths instead of side walks, petrol instead of gas.

But when I told them what roots meant here...
