Hi - Just acquired a second hand pair of these. What tyre widths have people successfully run on them? The rim width seems to be ~20mm, would i get away with a 22m tyre? Thanks in advance

I don't know of any size tires that won't fit.

I'm using conti comps with a 19mm up front and 22mm out back. in the past I have had a 21 and 22 up front and 23 out back.
I've gone with conti for the puncture protection, I've punctured every race with Victoria and never with conti. When it's time to replace I'll be giving veloflex a try as they have latex tubes.

Ive been a planet x 82/101 rider for years and always ran a 19mm continental tubular. I literally just bit the bullet and bought a set of hed jet 9+ to see if all the hype about wider wheels is legit. I know the 82 planet x was quite "exciting" to ride in windy conditions, hopefully the hed is a bit more docile.
Im still hanging on to the planet x's just incase the jets are slower if not do you know anyone interested in buying a very lightly used set of planet x's ? :)
