KK Fluid Trainer—Time for a new quick release?
I've faithfully used my KK for years and I absolutely love it, but lately the bolt that secures the quick release-side of the unit will "pop" loose every so often. My bike stays quasi-locked in, but it isn't nearly as tight as when I originall cranked it down. I'm assuming this is usual wear and tear, but should I get a new quick release kit or just a new bolt for that side? Student budget, so I'm counting pennies.

Also, the QR kit is sold out... how good is KK about restocking?

If you are the original owner email them with the serial number of the resistance unit and they will send out the parts you need. I just had to replace the same part back in the fall, they took care of everything. I am not sure if the warranty is transferable or not, so if not the original owner, not sure the best way to go. Either way, I would talk to them, their customer service is top notch.
