I'm asking here because it's full of shoe nerds.
I can't just go try&buy shoes off the shelf because I wear size 15 2E. I can wear normal width, but my pinky toes wear a hole in the fabric, so they don't last super long. So normal width with wide toeboxes is probably fine.
Also, I live in a rainforest so some level of water management is good, as is the ability to handle mud well. Moisture is the main issue I'm looking into getting dedicated trail/hiking footwear-too many slips from it. I also want a sole that's durable. I'm going to be living in a national park for the next 8 months.
So. Slowtwitch. Any suggestions? Other than logging boots, those are too bulky.
