BBright BB for Shimano crank
Hi Tri Peeps,

I am in search of a BBright bottom bracket that will accommodate a 24mm Shimano crank. Caveats: don't want a BB that increases Q factor distance (outboard bearings). Don't want a system that needs various adapters etc., that just adds to the "when not if" press fit BB creaking factor.

Thanks for any suggestions that you can provide!

Cheers,
G

Am I being dumb - how does a bottom bracket affect q factor? surely the crank defines that?

I have a rotor PF4624 BBRIGHT in my P5 running an Ultegra crank.

Check out the options from Wheels Manufacturing. They make a couple versions of a complete thread together BB or they make an easy to use adapter that you just press in.

Unless I am reading this article wrong BBs can effect stance width:

I will check out the PF4624.

Thanks,

Go with a BBright threaded version made by :

-wheels manufacturing.
-Enduro
-Rotor

I have the wheels mfg one and don't have any issues with creaking or the bearing cups 'walking out'

Using the CBear BBRight to 24mm adapter. It's fantastic and creak free.

I'm using the Wheels Mfg bbright to Shimano screw together bottom bracket. Easy to install and solves problems with creaking and misalignment resulting in premature bearing wear. Less expensive than the Enduro system.
