Going to Tritone from Sitero - Position?
Anyone change from a sitero saddle to a tritone?
It looks like the widest spot on each of them, where you would put your sit bones, is quite different for each in relation to the nose of each. Anyone know off hand the difference between them in terms of how far behind the BB you had to place the nose of the saddle?

Thanks!!!

If you figure this out, let me know. I'm confronted with the same issue myself.

On the Sitero where your sitbones wind up the wider they are the further back you are, the tritone works very similar both are saddles designed to promote pelvic rotation.

This is a great resource put together by the guys at Speed Theory.

Edit: it was linked at the bottom of this ST article.

The nose of the sitero needs to come forward approximately 16mm from the tritone to achieve the same relative sit width. I have done this swap recently and found to work well.

Hey guys, I was on the Sitero the last 3 years and love it. However, I am getting over a spine/disk/nerve injury and I am wondering that when I start riding outsdoors if a more forgiving saddle than the sitero that takes a bit more of the thump out of road cracks and bumps might be beneficial. How much softer do you find the Tritone is in terms of give? If the Sitero is like sitting in a well contoured wood chair, would the Tritone be more like a well supportive high end office chair with that little bit of give?

Havent had a chance to ride mine yet, but sitting on it, it feels softer, and a little narrower.

Dev, have you tried the gel version of the Sitero?

Dev, I put this saddle cover from DeSoto on my Sitero to soften it up a bit. I cut the tip of the nose off to make it fit better. I also use it on the Tritone.

Guys thanks for the feedback, but I don't think softening up the "exterior" of the Sitero achieves the affect of damping out road bumps and cracks. I am thinking a less firm underside frame for the saddle is probably a better approach. But I'll look at what Power13 said about the Gel version of the Sitero, in the event they made structural changes

I swapped from a Tritone to a Sitero last year. Really couldn't get on with the width of the tritone. I initially loved the sitero and it is way more comfy when riding but I keep slipping right towards the very front when under sustained power. I've had a fit with a local shop and the saddle is dead level and all the body angles line up great but I just need to solve the slipping. Any ideas?

I was in your shoes about a year ago, the Sitero fit me nicely but was to hard on my back, I moved to an ISM 1.1 which is a bit more flexible which solved my issues. Initially a found the ISM a bit wide but with a zip tie a was able to bring the front a bit closer, which made it much more confortable. Im very happy with the change.
