Not many tri-riders around here, but lots, and I mean lots, of group road bike riders, many of whom are also triathletes. So if you want the group spirit and the enforced discipline of a regular ride, you road bike ride. Also, you tend to work harder in a group setting--challenged by the faster riders. Would I be better off getting my miles in alone on the tri-bike?

then you need to apply an algorithm to test the validity of the card:
Step 1: Double the value of alternate digits of the primary account number beginning with the second digit from the right (the first right--hand digit is the check digit.)
Step 2: Add the individual digits comprising the products obtained in Step 1 to each of the unaffected digits in the original number.
Step 3: The total obtained in Step 2 must be a number ending in zero (30, 40, 50, etc.) for the account number to be validated.
all this is done modulo 10 (in Z/10Z for the mathematicians of the forum)
