That stinks. We missed the NYC Marathon in Philly so they could show a tennis match. Regardless, the Eastern half of the country will be praying for a quick blowout so they can start on time.

When I lived in Winston-Salem, they didn't show the Ironman or the NHL All-Star game so that they could show "informercials and nascar non-racing related shows"

Houston is America's fattest city, isn't it? The city leaders probably didn't want to disturb the community ethos by showing such an event.

Fal7, you may want to turn on the tv at that time just in case. The Chron TV guide doesn't list IM, but KPRC's online TV guide has the IM listed as playing in Houston. We may get to see it after all!

Check click2houston.com they list the infomercials. Also long thread on houstonracing.com forums about channel 2's response. hope you are right
