I am seriously thinking about dropping out of corporate america and working at a LBS - I would really like to be a bike mechanic - anyone know of any schools that teach the fine art of being a bike mechanic?

I think there's only two schools. Barnett's (sp?) Institute, and Park Tool School.

Hope you like ramen noodles. Pay rate is pretty crappy as a mechanic.

    Thanks - appreciate the leads - i will look into it. Noodles will be ok but I have been planning on this for a long time - I have quite a "take this job and shove it" nest egg going. My wife has a great job and is good with it too.
