Rental Bike In San Francisco Ca??
I have to head to San Francisco for a medical meeting this weekend and into early next week. Is there any place to rent a decent bike on the weekend I am out there. If so I would bringh my helmet, pedals and shoes with me. I assume that there are places to ride that I could get to from downtown???

Thanks

A buddy of mine used to live in San Mateo, I went out there and rented a trek 2300 from a place in palo alto called the bike station. He moved so I havent' been out there since so I have no idea if it's still going on. It was a nice bike I just brought my pedals, it was 50 bucks per day.

We did a really nice ride from Burlingame to half moon bay over the santa cruz mountains. Nice climbs great views and not a lot of traffic. Couldn't tell you the extact route since I was only on it once.

Here are a few:

I don't know how high end the nicer bikes are but I know they both offer a range of bikes and I'm sure all of them will be fine for an afternoon spin. There are plenty of great rides from downtown heading North ranging from a few hours to as long as you want to be on a bike.

Might be wet but it won't be frigid. Have fun.

Here is a list I compiled last year. Not sure how current or correct it is, but it's a starting point. Someone does rent Giant road bikes because a guy had one at TI last weekend. clm Not sure who rents bikes, but here are some places to try. * Big Swinging Bikes on Lombard Street, SF * Bikes and Boards on 4th st and harrison, sf * Mike's Bikes in Palo Alto (though that's an hour drive from SF) * Palo Alto Bikestation (At the Caltrain in PA) rents Trek 2300's with Ultegra.
