Any tips for a quick easy bike ride today. How stupid would it be to ride from Tempe through the streets of the bike course. Thanks.

I have done in 2013 and 2015 with no issues. The traffic is pretty crap near Rio Salado in the mornings but it is not at all midday. You will have a wide shoulder for most part, but watch out for the goatheads and random crap.

Next races on the schedule: none at the moment

Below is the tempe town lake site that posts water temp and other info.

http://www.tempe.gov/...n-lake-water-quality.

Last temp reading was Nov 7th.

By the way- its been a few years since I did IMAZ...anyone remember if there is a changing tent for transition from swim to bike?

Looks like in going through the swag bags given at check in I am missing my swim to bike T1 transition bag ? Also didn't get the $25 Tempe restaurant voucher.

We should have 5 bags total right? (Dry cloths, T1, T2, SN1, SN2)---so looks like I need to grab another bag from them

Voucher is on the orange card inside your white envelope (the one with your stickers in it).

Anybody know the rules on whether we can have our bike shoes on our bike race morning or do they need to be in the T1 bag?

In boulder IM it was ok so I assume the rules are the same, but can't find it on the guide anywhere.

During briefing Tom Z said it was ok to leave shoes in pedals.
