Tririg Omega X on Cervelo P5?
I plan to mount an Omega X on the rear of a P5 but seems I'll need a sheeit ton of spacers to make it work. Should I reverse the brake pad holders to get them into the notch? Assuming the brake cover won't fit as well. Anyone have experience here? Help please.

BTW I'm not sticking with the Magura b/c is it's a PITA to travel with and no Di2 on levers (yes I know there are hacks).

I would contact Nick. He did a P5 build with the old omega:

Ugh, you talked me into it! I just ordered the Sram Etap group. I guess I'll keep the Magura RT8s.

So did you go to Omega X's or stick with Magura? I took my road bike Omega X and mounted it on the P5. Like you said - crap ton of spacers. Didnt like the look. Also think the cable bend would be very tight. Nick's build on the old Omega doesnt show it he had a lot of spacers but his cable bend looked alright. Better than another I was able to find.

I kept the Maguras and used with etap. No chance of getting the Omega to work well on the P5. I like to cut the rear brake cable and remove my handlebars from bike to make it easier to pack in my Ruster Hen House. Obviously could not do that this year. I plan to build up a p3 for 2017 and will use the Omega X on that build. I may lose 3 seconds of aerodynamic savings on a 40k course though...

Not if you choose the right bar ;-)

Ha, already have the Alpha X on my p5 (have it set up with cervelo beard attached) and will move the bars to the P3.

Linking to an Archive.org page that still has the P5 build that Nick did, including pics (at least as of today it was still available there):

It's late 2023 and folks are still using our collective posts to convert their P5's from Magura to TriRig! Cross-posting the build that I did with some detail pics here, in case folks find this thread through the search or Google.
