My Fenix 2 (out of warranty) has developed a not completely uncommon problem: the Altimeter is frozen at 20,000m. I tried the usual power on / off, and the full reset, and confirmed the software is all up to date.

I found another thread with people who had the same problem with the 910XT, and solved it by cleaning the barometer sensor openings with a toothbrush and warm water. I've done this with my Fenix, but I'm not certain I've cleaned the right holes, and the problem is still there.

Can anyone confirm the 2 small holes on the slot that retains the charging clip are the holes for the barometer?

Has anyone else experienced this same issue with the Fenix 2 and managed to solve it.
