very devashish observation (i'm now using that as an adjective..it can't be a name).
Macca has to respect genetics. Some people just can't race Ironman in this type of heat.

How much did you have on that bet tri-3? Nice observation there eganski, ya big galoot. Macca struggled to overcome genetics to punch out 2:49, r.e.s.p.e.c.t.

I just wish he had done his usual strong swim and emerged with the Reid group. That way he would have been towed into T2 5 min faster and I bet you he would have still uncorked that smoking sub 2:50 run.

Now that I know some of you guys look through the special needs bags for kicks, I'm gonna put some really weird stuff in mine. I can see it now. Macca had an awesome race. For him to finish 5th was for him, likley getting a huge monkey off his back. And he did it in style, being patient and then running through the field to record one of the fastest runs of the day.
As for Lessing - I am speechless. What a year he has had. I feel sorry for the guy. Mentally, this is going to be a tough hole to get out of. He looked great early on. One only has to wonder if he was able to match things, stroke for stroke and stride for stride with Faris all day, as he really should have been able to do. Interesting to see what he does now.

Hey Fleck, looks like Macca had the fastest Pro run with that 2:49:09 to finish a 6th overall. That is a great result for him, I am so pleased, a good base to build with postivity for next year.
