That's a flat, fast race. Good luck.

Still a few weeks to go...don't get *too* stoked and leave it all in training!

I'll be there as well...but I won't publish a time goal for fear of jinxing myself. ;-)

raced little this season as well - have similar goals to you plus major work issues - had 2 good weeks with a half iron on Saturday - that will either destroy my limited confidence or make me a world beater!!

If I remember correctly (which I probably don't) no one out on the course who's gonna pass you will be even remotely close to the 'babe o rama' you've already got..

I'm in for IMFL, and also can't wait. Last year was my 1st year, and all I remember is the days before and the Red Flags on the beach. Are there gonna be Gatorade swims this year? Can I put in a request for Red X-Factor? Best...flavor...ever....

Gatorade swims will start on Wed morning at the Boardwalk - Hope we have some flat water as the last two years, we have had to cancel the Wed morning swim because of the red flags.

I'm still looking for some help with the morning swims if you know anyone! $10.00 per hour and free Gatorade stuff! Z

Hi Tom,

Can you tell me more on the Gatorade Swim or point me to info on the net?

Thanks

The Gatorade Morning Swims at IM Florida will take place on Wed, Thurs. and Friday mornings from 7:00 AM - 10:00 AM. We watch athlete gear while they go out for a swim.

I need about 8-10 people to help me check in bags at these morning swims. E-mail me at tomziebart@aol.com if you are interested. Z

I'm in and excited as hell. Just did IMWIS last weekend, and I'm hoping for some better conditions in Florida!

For those that have done it before, what's the road surface like? Pavement? Chip-seal? Lots of holes/cracks? The road surface in Madison is absolute shit, I hope that PCB has fewer bone-shattering bumps to ride over.

I've raced IMF every year but 2004, and will be there this year. The stretch between (roughly) mile 80 and 100 is a bit rough, but for the most part, the roads are pretty good.

I wanna go fast!

If you're feeling stoked, how do you think we first-timers feel?

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I--
I took the one less traveled by,
Which is probably why I was registering 59.67mi as I rolled into T2.

Shaun,

I will be looking and listening for you in PCB. If I am out on the course and I hear FUCK screamed really loud, I will know that you are nearby. ;-)

I bet the water is going to be rather warm. No "direct hits" from tropical systems. I know Rita is out there churning things up, but it is probably too far away from PCB to make a big difference. Has there every been an IM FL with no wetsuits allowed. Not that I am concerned, just curious.
