I work in Delta and the smell is strong in the building. I live in South Surrey and I can not smell a thing. Driving home last night along 99 I could see the flames.

On the way to work today the fog never lifted then I realized that it was the smoke from the fire. It is going to take a while to get that sucker out for sure. Glad the wind is heading towards town and not out my way. Still easy to run and ride.

Smoke is strong in Coquitlam. We need a north wind to blow it to our friends in the south.

I'm in N. Burnaby and the smoke is bad out here, looks very hazy outside right now, it's coming in the fresh air intake for our building's AC (even though it's been throttled right back) so you can breathe it in all day. No running outside for me today (treadmill - ugh!). I have a very sore throat and itchy eyes already. GVRD has issued an air quality advisory. Not a good idea to train outside at all...

But with a little luck it might blow back to Delta/Langley by this afternoon. I need my daily fix this evening!

The Coastal health authority is advising against anyone with asthma (exercise enduced or otherwise) from doing any physical activity... maybe you could watch some TdF DVDs instead? I'd suggest something hotter but hey, sex is exercise, so that's out eh? ;-)

re- sex - depends. i am willing to lay back and accept what ever is offered! That way my hrt will rise but being on my back and mostly inactive should be ok on the lungs!

Totally off-topic, but....is that restaurant "Mexican Village" still around? I used to eat there on my weekly trips to Redmond in the late 90's... best mexican food in the PNW.

I'm out in Surrey as I type and I'm having trouble breathing. Yesterday it was really bad in New West but not as bad out here in Surrey. Vancouver was good in the pm. Today it's been real bad in Surrey all day long. The kids were kept in at recess today 'cause the air quality was so poor. Smoke has filled the school that I work at. I hope it's better in Vancouver as I'm heading there now. i need to get my inhaler too. Lungs are closing up. UGH!! And to think.. my lazy off season just ended. I'm trying to regain my cardio now. Hmmmmm.
