A long while back I tried peeing on my bike, but without success.

This morning, before a local Olympic race, I drank about a gallon of coffee.

Halfway through the bike I knew there was no way I could hold it til the finish. There was also no way I was stopping on such a short course.

That's when I relaxed and let it flow. Down the shorts, over the saddle, and into the shoes.

I did it once more for good measure, just to make sure I had mastered the technique.

Apparently necessity is the mother of invention.

Ya, about the shoes. I've always ridden in road shoes with socks, but that might have to change. I took the shoes outside and hosed them out tonight. Not sure I want to make a habit of hosing kangaroo leather (or whatever they're made out of).

Those new Specialized tri shoes are looking like a good idea, at least for racing.

Get a bottle of a pet stain carpet cleaner and blast the insides of your shoes. THEN hose them off.
