STI levers on your race bike??
Does anyone use STI levers on their triathlon race bikes?? I have profile carbon X bars and am just wondering how stupid I would be to go back to STI?? I do spend most of my time in aerobars when racing, but it doesn't seem to be a big deal to slip a hand down to change gears?? I know I will increase my drag numbers, blah, blah....but @ 6'1 and 200# I am a barge in the wind anyway!
Thanks,
HC

It is not a simple aero issue/ STI are not designed to work well on bullhorn bar. They don't pull the cable efficiently when not on drops. I believe that DEDA has a pursuit bar that has the correct bands for STI to work, but the Profile are not suitable. It will work, but not very well.
