Wireless computer off the rear wheel
I just looked at Dan's review of the Reynolds Aero Fork and I'll be doing an uypgrade this winter. He comments about his wireless computer cleaning up the front end. I wonder could you really clean it up and put the pick-up on the rear. Seems easy to do, but will it work? Has anyone tried it? How much distance do wireless units send through? It would also give readings on the trainer. Seems better all around. What do you think?

For me, not very well but workable. I end up putting the computer on a table slightly behind my seat to shorten the distance. It works but I have to look down and back to read it.

That cadence sensor looks remarkably like the Polar cadence sensor. I wonder if the Mavic skewer will work with a Polar S710/720? Hmmmmm.

It will work if you use a Polar computer with a wireless speed sensor, but first you need to open up the transmitter and boost the power ouput. Its a really easy thing to do. On both of my bikes I have the transmitter mounted on the seat stay and it works without a problem. The link below describes how it is done.
