I have finished 15 IM's , most in the states & Europe. I have officiated hear in the states and at IMH.
I just got back from IMG-Frankfurt, raced it 3 years ago. Drafting was not to bad back then but this year
3KM from T1, I swam a 56:00, They had 60 officials on motorcycles ready to go.
I thought I came by a motorcycle rally, they all had green vests on from the Hamburg DTV Triathlon Group. They did an excellent job of officiating, we had 3 sin bins on the course for drafting that you had to ride to if you had been penalized.
I saw excellent officiating, sure they probably made a few bad calls, and missed a few calls, but from my view on the bike they were on top of this event. I will go back. They gave warnings, blew whistles to motivate a passer or tell someone to get it together wake up, but took care of business & were in charge.
