Climbing with Tri bike/Wheels
I am going on a bike trip next month when i move to colorado, i was planning on using my older road bike for this trip, but i loaned out this bike and will not be able to get the bike back in time. The trip includes 45000 feet of climbing over 5.5 days, so it should be fun. I now have a felt S22 and was wondering how you guys think the ride will be on this bike. I also have a pair of Hed Alpds and was wondering if I should use these or not. So basically I am asking:

Good idea or bad to try the trip with my S22?

Good or bad idea to try with Hed Alps?

Thanks for you input Nick

for climbing, no big deal. it will be fine.
For downhills...definitely not always fun...you may want to 'tweak' the position a bit, maybe (assuming the front end if very low) raise it a tad, move the seat back (and therefore lower the seatpost)

What's your other option? I'd do it, but then again I swear I actually climb better on my tri bike. I'd do it on any bike though - road/tri/fixed...

(hey - I never said I was bright)

What is your gearing? I use a 12-25 in the mountains. No problems.
