Yes. It's all too easy to knock federal employees who everyone seems to think are simply sucking at the public tit and not doing anything. The FBI, the AUSAs, Marshall's Service, and Secret Service to name just a few high profile agencies are overloaded. One of my friends is an AUSA and he says he could never return home and barely make a dent in his case load. Everyone thinks they have a federal case, but the truth is the feds decline jurisdiction quite frequently because they need their resources to fight drugs, terrorism, and organized crime. Although I can't stand Ashcroft and think he would gladly repeal the Bill of Rights if given half a chance, most of the working stiffs are busting ass to make America a better place. We should be thankful we have them....
