HI, it's Kate the newbie. Doing my first Sprint (did a supersprint l.y.) on the 22nd. Did my first open water swim of the season today and was surprised by how much the deep scared me.
I finally remedied the panic by, get this, closing my eyes every time I put my face in the water. It actually worked, but am wondering if there is any negative associated with doing this. Also, going to swim the venue 3 or 4 more times this week. Can I expect the anxiety to decrease or will it stay the same?? Thanks,
