i have a cervelo eyre ('98, i think, maybe '99) and the internal cable routing rattles like mad on rough roads. i have tried wrapping electrician's tape around the outside of the cable and frame, just as the cable exits the little plastic guide, trying to stabilize the cable so it can't move back and forth as much. it didn't work. the rattle resonates through the down tube and, while it doesn't affect the performance of the bike, it's really obnoxious.

does anybody have any suggestions? thanks.
