Breakthrough workout? - Well, mentally maybe
Quote | Reply
So, I'm in Louisville for business. Don't know my way around much and I'm stuck in suburbia surrounded by highways and shopping centers. I have to get a run workout in, but my client wants to go out for dinner and I can't say no. I get back to my hotel later than I wanted (about 8:30) and only have 15 minutes of daylight left. What to do?

I went next door to a Walmart and proceeded to do a 75 minute run workout by doing laps around the friggin' parking lot. Oh, and it was raining for the last 20 minutes too. Yes, I'm begging, someone please give me a pat on the back for sucking this one up. Ugh, that sucked...

Wow! I'll give you an attaboy for that! Laps around a Walmart in the rain? Ah, dedication only a type-A triathlete would understand. I'm impressed, really!
