Mechanics. I need a pic (front derailleur adjusting)
ok, I expect some noise when I cross-chain on the last gear but not the one before it...

I have a 105 front and rear...which screw is for what purpose...?

Inner screw = Inner Ring
Outter Screw = Outer Ring

Left Loosy, Righty Tighty.

Loose towards frame, tight away from frame.

Your initial alignment need to be correct through.

If you want pics, goes to the park tool website.

before you go fiddling around with the limit screws, what model is your bike? if you ride a bike with short chainstays then it could be that you will never be able to cross-chain with the last 2 or even 3 gears in the rear.

Your biek shop probably set up the front to ensure that front shifting is good. Compromising that to allow for better cross-chaining is not a good idea.
