Mine broke the week of Kona - haven't replaced it and don't miss it. Occasionally I use mapmyrun.com to find my distance after I get home or to map out a ride prior to heading out, but usually I just go by time.

I have been going computer-less for a number of years now. My guidline is my watch. If I have two hours to ride, I ride for two hours! Helps me know when to turn back!

I dont use one anymore, but then again I am not training to race anymore either. I ride till I have had enough (distance) or the pace is too hot for me to handle, which ever way I have had enough, i then turn around look for a coffee shop! The way i figure it you go as far as you go and as fast as the group goes and if thats not fast enough, you are too slow and I dont need a computer to tell me that!
