See PDF below-

This camp is modeled after what the Discovery Channel Pro Cycling Team does each year!

-Wind Tunnel Positioning Session with Steve Hed

-Body Composition Testing at Texas A & M Human Performance Lab

(Vo2 Max, lactate testing, DEXA, Blood panels, RMR & more)

-Ride with Bjorn Andersson and other top Pro athletes

-Work with a Pro cycling teams’ soigneur to get massages,

-Learn recovery techniques, and obtain a muscle profile analysis

-Work with a coach on monthly training plans crafted for your season goals

-Nightly presentations from industry leaders gurus.

-Good food, drink, and experiences. Private room.

Space is very limited.

Bike Positioning in the wind tunnel

Custom bike fit initially 2-4 hours), with follow up advice and information as

necessary. Utilizing positioning protocol developed in the windtunnel by Steve

Hed for the best athletes in the cycling and triathlon world. Through power

monitoring, video analysis, and rider input we integrate your body’s physical and

mechanical characteristics with proven aerodynamic technology/positioning/

power efficiency, to mold you and your bike into a single efficient unit.

Physiological Testing: blood lactates, Vo2 Max, RMR, % body fat & more

Racing/Performing requires a delicate mixture of both art and science. The building blocks

for optimal performance are many and must be constructed in a proper sequence. The

cornerstone for this building is precise physiological training which is the main reason an

athlete spends so much time in the water, on the bike, on the track, in the weight room

or wherever training is best conducted. Ask yourself, do you know if all those miles/hours

of training are paying off? A series of lactate analyzation tests (inside and out), Pulmonary

Function Tests, Blood panels, RMR, DEXA bone scans, Vo2 Max, and body composition tests enables us to

measure, predict, and train you as a unique athlete. It is this information that can then be exploited to

optimize your conditioning.

Training Program Design, Implementation and Maintenance

A monthly training plan presented in 4 week training blocks with weekly

consults to update/modify training plans. These plans will be focused on

getting you to your peak performance for your biggest events of 2007.

Recovery Massage and other techniques

Make the most out of your training! Massage with a pro cycling soigneur will

show you how to increase flexibility and the rate of recovery, allowing you to

train longer, harder, smarter. Help address injuries before they become years of

working with World/Olympic Class athletes.

What, Where, Why…

Enjoy a 5 day training experience like only the pros experience – but now it is for

you too. Wind tunnel fit session, just like the pros, full lab work-up, just like the

pros, nightly presentations/meetings, just like the pros, customized training plans for

you, just like the pros, massage and recovery techniques, just like the pros, daily

training sessions, just like the pros, totally pampered and taken care of, just like the

pros. Get faster, have fun, just like the pros.

When did they start using video in the TAMU tunnel?

That's because having a high IQ and being trained in exercise physiology aren't prerequisites for becoming a pro cyclist. ;-)

I happen to think that having a high IQ and being trained in exercise physiology is something hard enough to find! ;-)

Well sure: after you first select only those whose IQ is high enough, there just aren't that many people left.

no that why they earn a lot and go faster the all exercise physilogy's predict
and find amazing why the pro's do what they do .
win race's and listen to their own body and train train .
and not let them lead by numbers but do what their body tell them to do.

for those who love numbers!!

They do earn a lot, but they don't go any faster than you (or at least I) would predict.

Then why do you guys test?

"Since 1990 Cees Beers has been conducting research, development, and and testing activities in many areas of human and cycling performance, with special emphasis on aerodynamics. Main areas of expertise include aerodynamics, stress testing, electron surface scans, and training software."

Wow. Looks really cool. Anyone have any reason to suggest this is not a good thing to do?

Then why do you guys test?

[/reply]

as you see hardware! as we consider aerodynamics hardware

and as i said what does help me to know my vo2 max and lactate?
if you would say RER 1 and their values i would say yes
but knowing vo2 max does not help me a thing also not my lactate
it would help to know the values of RER 1 vo2 and watts and vco2 becuase then you can see how some one trains and performs

What does a DEXA bone scan tell you?

I assume they are using DEXA for body composition analysis, not as a bone scan...

Maybe it's a camp targeted for old women.

DEXA scans are most often used to measure bone density, but can also be used to determine body composition.

maybe she's born with it, maybe it's chlorine
