In the spirit of the poster complaining about the IMAZ course being full, I figured I'd mention that my ride through Pendleton yesterday was riddled with triathlon-types. I ride Pendleton 1-2 days/week year-round and there's always riders on road and tri bikes, but Saturday there were plenty of people obviously training for the race, some with race wheels/aero helmets, etc. One thing...crews spent the winter installing some type of pipeline under Stuart Mesa Road and did a crappy job of paving over it, so expect mile 5-10 to be pretty bumpy.
Kinda got me stoked and excited for the race coming up! Woo hoo!
For those of you that aren't in the ocean alot that are doing this race, you'll be happy to know the water is a "balmy" 59 degrees, at least for this morning's surf session. That's a good 5 degrees warmer than it was this weekend last year as those of you that raced remember!
