Sweet another person who can recon the route. I mapped it (as best I can see from the PDFs) on gmap.
Any more intel you can provide would be much appreciated. Looks like the worst of the hills (about 120m in elevation) are near the start of the 333/Prospect Rd? does that seem right?

Inside Triathlon is planning live, on-site coverage of all Tri One O One races this year using their Live Race Viewer, the same app VeloNews uses to cover bike races on the web. Some of you may recognize it from coverage of the Tour, Vuelta, or this week's Paris-Nice:

http://www.velonews.com/tick/html/stage137.html

I'll be doing the commentary for the series opener in Bradenton on May 6, as well as the finale in The Woodlands on Nov. 11. If there's something in particular you'd like me to look out for and report on, feel free to let me know.

kind regards,
Jeff Henderson

I just saw that they posted the routes. It doesn't go past my front door, so no unofficial aid station for me :-(

I'll drive the course this weekend and post some pics.

Too bad, that could have been the ST beer stop ;-)

Pics would be great, as well as a report on the WIND... I wonder how much wind y'all get that time of year...

Well, 15kph is still better than what I had to deal with at IMWA, so fingers crossed it's an average or better than average day this year. AP

Showers and drizzle. Amount 5 mm. Fog patches. Wind southwest 40 km/h gusting to 60. Temperature steady near 6.

Just as likely to get that in July as in March ;-) Bump the temp up by a fifteen degrees though.

http://weatheroffice.ec.gc.ca/ is a lot better than the weather network.

But it can be the post-race recovery party spot, depending on how many come up.

Just one request. In looking at the start list for the Woodlands race, back of the pack may not be sufficient for describing where I will be in relation to my fellow athletes. Please be kind.

I'm in for the Woodlands...2 weeks after Ironstar HIM (if it happens), and 5 weeks after Chicago marathon. What fun I will be having this fall!

In for Clearlake. Only the second person from Washington. At just under 12 weeks to race day I suppose it's time to stop eating the donuts...

What, it's positively balmy today. It got up to 5 degrees, I think.

Actually Monday after work I went for a one hour ride on my road bike - it was a little chilly but not too bad...promise of things to come :)

Jeff will be covering the Bradenton and The Woodlands races and I (actually a team of 2 or 3) will cover the Clear Lake and Nova Scotia races. This coverage will be similar to what we did at Silverman last November, with hopefully better telephone reception. In addition, Inside Tri is publishing the official race guide for the series which will be included in our upcoming May issue (check it out starting April 2nd).
