I was nosing around on Ebay earlier, and saw a few Zipp track wheelsets for sale at considerably lower prices than typically seen for Zipp wheels advertised as being for tri/TT/road use. In looking at the pics, it appears the only difference in the front wheel is a bolt-on hub rather than QR; for the rear, it appears that the hub body may be wider, and that the cassette body only has the space for a single cog. If this is the case, does it require completely changing out the rear hub, i.e. rebuilding the rear wheel? Maybe its a lot more involved than even that; I've never been on a track bike, nor examined one up close. Anybody know how much it might run to convert track wheels into road wheels (or is it worth it?)?
