I tried 'em on in the store... didn't like them at all. I wasn't actually thinking of running in them (lest I get a mighty smackdown from Paulo), but I thought they might make good slippers/deck shoes.

I found it nearly impossible to get the toes lined up properly without working each one in one at a time, and once they were on, the elastic strap cut into the back of my heel as it sits right on the achilles tendon.

Neat concept, but it didn't work for me.

I contributed for Kirsten's bike fund earlier today, so my budget for charities is all spent for the week. But talk to me next week ;-)

For an old school, Italian/Steel bike lover, I'm surprised you even tried these on :-)

LOL - okay, okay. When I see ethanol I think fuel - as in a gasoline additive. Not the type of stuff you'd want to drink.

Wow from the sound of the header I thought this was a new competitor in the adult pleasure realm to the Jackrabbit.

There's Kylie Minogue...which I guess would just be a hot thing from down under, not necessarily that musical. :-)

I think Rod, Andrew's and your e mails have validated my statement quite succinctly! Midnight Oil was the best music and Kylie the best arse. ;-p

I own a pair. I only wear them on training runs. I agree with what has been written here that it can be difficult to line the toes up. If I were to wear them in a race I would be in transition for several minutes trying to get my toes in the right spot. The only surface I didn't like running on them with was large gravel. It felt like my feet got beat up. Other than that I think they are a good.

Men at Work - used to love them.

I agree with the poster above - this is ST. What else could possibly happen?

A guy who works out at the same corporate facility as me has a pair, and I've seen him wearing them on asphalt. Between these and the Nike Frees that he wears, he says that they've saved his running. Of course this guy is maybe 125 lb soaking wet.
