The Highland Triathon is on

I have changed the date for the 15th Annual Highland Triathlon in Western Sullivan County to June 23rd.
This is a great small sprint Triathlon with a tough bike course.
There is a free openwater swim clinic the day after the race.

Doug puts on an awesome race less than 2 hours from NYC, it's a travesty that 200 people don't show up every year! No small race can be better organised than this one, with some free coaching in a beautiful area as a bonus. Nowhere else do the police let you run a stop sign on your bike at over 40mph. I strongly encourage anyone in NJ/NY/PA to have a go. Last year it was barely 40 degrees and over half the field bailed, even though the lake was toasty (it must be volcanic or something). It's good to hear that the race is moving out to June. Here are my wife's pictures from last year's event:
