Man I had a V8 and...

it was like drinking tomato sauce. Still I am going to keep drinking V8 because it just seems like the right thing to do.

Yeah! Tastes great and is one of the only "low glycemic" drinks you can get in any convenience store. The low salt one is nutritionally more balanced, but is also kind of bland.

A V8 is about the only way you can eat 2 servings of vegetables in just under 8 seconds. I love 'em.

Actually, they're not bad when mixed with beer.

Ugg... I can't think of two things I hate drink more... and then combining them... blah! On second thought, maybe Clamato juice would be on the list, too.

Every time I look in the fridge and see my 20 little cans of V-8 and various other foods, I pick almost anything else in the fridge to eat or drink. They never look very appetizing. Then when I finally force myself to drink one, I feel very satisfied and wonder why I don't drink them more often. I think they actually taste good! (But somehow chocolate ice cream seems to always win over V-8 as a food choice.)

Years ago I new a guy whose favorite drink was 50/50 beer and V8. Surprisingly, it doesn't taste as bad as it sounds.

I've been drinking V8 (sans the beer) for years.

Cool, but watch the sodium.

Probably better to just eat the tomato fresh. A good tomato can send you into heaven.

Yea, that is called a Michelada. Mexican beer with bloody mary/clemata/lime mixed in. Mmmmm, good.

I was really hoping this thread would continue ...and I fitted it to my bike and I was averaging 50mph until it caught fire... And then a picture of your Mustang with no engine :)

HA, ha, ha.... wait, I don't know what you are talking about. It sounds funny though. You've got some really good changes in there and I like the part about the Mustang but... 1... 2... 3... I don't get it.

I've also heard them called "bloody beers". My grandpa drinks them all them time.

"Cool, but watch the sodium"

I swell up like a balloon when I drink tomato juice (well, Bloody Mary's, but same stuff).

Yeah, I don't feel quite right after drinking that stuff either. I suspect the sodium overkill improves the taste (and hence the bottomeline for V8), but may have deleterious effects.

To be frank, I don't see why people want to smash up and drink their food (tomato juice, orange juice, etc.). I'd rather eat it as nature intends us to, and I'm sure I get more fiber that way. And less waste.
