What a difference a degree makes?
I am comparing two bikes (not Cervello, sorry) the Scott Plasma and the QRoo Lucero. The Scott has a seat angle of 76 and the Roo of 77. All things being equal, does 1 degree make a big difference?

It's a difference of one degree (as in the measurement of angle) not 1 percent.

I'll stab at this....get the bike that is the most comfortable/fit. The angle is adjustable as you position the saddle by at least 1%.

If both are equally comfortable, get the one you like to look at the most! Seriously!

All else being equal, it does make a difference. I'm not sure that all else is actually equal between these 2 bikes though. If you are bumping up against the limits of adjustability then there is a a bigger impact than if you are not.

For when you just need that little extra push, to get you over the cliff.

Exactly. Most blokes you know, will be riding at 76. You're on 76 here, all the way up, all the way up, all the way up, you're on 76 on your bike. Where can you go from there? Where?

all things are not equal. and even when you restrict your question to geometry, all things are not equal. for reference you might consider reading these two articles:

STA is relatively unimportant as long as it doesnt limit your fit. If your saddle would be pushed all the way forward on the scott then you're slightly better off with the QR as it allows you a little more freedom to adjust your position or to achieve the same position with more balanced forces on the rails.

1 degree becomes 15-20mm of horizontal movement at fairly typical saddle heights. Obviously this is enough to make a difference for fitting on these bikes where you are limited in seatpost choice.

I never thought this was possible... somebody misspelling "Cervelo" on ST! :-)

On topic, generally it's easier to do a triathlon fit on a steeper frame.

I'd call them the same bike. 1 degree is about 1cm on the saddle rails, and maybe a reach difference of 1cm. Both can be adjusted for with an allen wrench or a different stem.

Get the one you lust after the most and will have the most fun riding.

But couldn't you put a zero setback seatpost on the Scott and make that 77?

Google "Nigel Tufnel" and you will understand why he said what he did.
