Found it on accident. If stories are true, pretty crazy stuff.

I've read at least two books on Scientology. It's crazy what people fall for, including L. Ron who apparently believed his own bullshit by the end. That Muscovege (sp?) guy who runs it now seems like a real psycho. Interesting coup that he pulled off to take over the reins.

Sea Org. Captain's hats and uniforms. Imprisonment and forced labor. Wow. Very strange.
I tried to get my wife to watch, but after the first show she said, "Nope. That's all I need to know. People are sick."

I've watched it from the beginning. People's drive to have belief in religion has always fascinated me.
I've got a 600+ page doc from wikileaks back in '08 that has the OT levels if you have a couple months to kill.
I'm beginning to think that we are much more fucked than I thought.

Ron, figure if he was up to that sort of stuff it would have come out by now. But having young girls running around to do his bidding certainly seemed like a ripe situation for it.

Can't believe they have been able to go on like this for so long. Money talks, I guess. Just hard to believe black vans driving around CA grabbing people off the street who are trying to escape goes unnoticed/reported.

Wife watched it religiously the first season, I guess it's now on the second season? I've caught a few episodes here and there, and it's baffling how seemingly intelligent people get sucked into that kind of thing (not counting people who were raised in Scientology because of their parents' involvement).
That HBO "Going Clear" documentary was pretty good too.

No, but I've watched Going Clear and several Leah Rimini interviews. I found it all fascinating.
