I would say all presidents. A rational person with a healthy ego avoids this kind of job. You have to be nuts to be president.

I think most mental illness exists on a spectrum that even varies within a person over time. Does anyone who wants to be a president have a good bit of narcissism in their personality? Probably. Does it rise to the level of mental illness? Probably not.

Lots of people including clinicians have argued that Trump's narcissism actually does rise to that level.

I'm not sure if I should have felt pity for the woman or ran like hell, but I did the latter as soon as the opportunity presented itself. But I'm not surprised. She was a person who technically only left the state of Michigan twice, once on a teenage trip to Florida, once to go 5 miles into Ohio to a restaurant. And then she must have made her world even smaller from there. Somehow I turned out more like Steve Martin's character from The Jerk, i.e. "You mean to tell me I'm not black?!?!," just one with everyone in the world. Except the Irish; I do not want the Irish.

What a nut!

BTW, I went to a Jr high school that was 75-80% Hispanic and high school was 70% Hispanic, FWIW.

Thanks. My CavaPoo typed that while I was cleaning up the pee from my Bichon. I'll tell him you appreciated his sense of humor.

I dumped it last December. The last straw when a long time friend, highly educated, works for a large pharmaceutical company, posted something about some proposed relaxation of a federal regulation and how it proved beyond all doubt that Trump was a fascist.

I pointed out that deregulation was not by any stretch proof of fascism and deluged by posts calling me a Trump loving nazi and many of the posts, from people I've never met, were threatening me with acts of violence and promises to "make life difficult" with my work.

I bailed out.

There is a good chance we will be able to thank Trump for destroying the plague that is social media. It was already bad enough with all the SJWs incessantly posting their shit; but now with Trump Derangement Syndrome running wild, even once rational people are polluting everyone's timelines with their ranting.

I go on Facebook and add Friends and almost always immediately "unfollow" them so I don't get their feeds. For a lot of people, not accepting their friend request is akin to stabbing them in the back so instead of creating enemies, I accept and unfollow.

The only reason I am on there is to watch golden retriever videos. I am friends with various "Friends of Golden Retrievers" pages and would never unfollow them. I just can't get enough of golden retriever pool parties, golden puppies playing with door stops or splashing themselves in their water dishes...I'm laughing just writing about it...

That is pretty much me with Border Collies. I love watching the sheep herding and puppy videos. I'm friends with lots of people and never see anything they put on Facebook.

My daughter and I were watching puppy training videos. There was one where the lady was teaching her golden-doodle to Take-it and Leave-it. That puppy was so playful and cute. We watched it 5-6 times just to watch the dog. It is here.

Come on, man, that's rookie shit. You got trolled. I avoid politics entirely on FB - just use it for organizing rides and bike porn. And kittens. But if you're going to political you have to know which friends' posts are gateways to troll hell. It's usually pretty obvious. I got a buddy I'll ride with anytime, but I know he floats in the Audit-The-Fed and vaguely skinheadish Rothschilds-Control-Us-All circles. So I don't touch those kind of posts on FB because though the dude would respect me, those kinds of posts are like tripping and falling into a cesspool of trolldom.

The word "fascism" alone is pure troll bait, usually designed to get a rise out of someone.

Complete 'derail'...

I assume 'haven't had a drink in 9 years' is true in the literal sense (congrats btw)?

Historically you have at some stage taken pleasure in the taste. These days, are you repulsed by the taste or is it that you simply don't take the risk that you may be tempted to have a second etc? I'm talking about toasts at weddings and the like. I'm simply curious.

What's your daily/special occasion poison nowadays?

Thanks for that in depth insight. First time I've had the opportunity to learn straight from 'the horses mouth'

I'd wondered whether with the passing of time and character building you may have learnt to trust yourself.

I've never really drank myself. The odd occasion. But my poison has been sugar. Just wondered what you drink as the alternative.

Appreciate the response.

Morgan Freeman Nelson Mandela wasn’t quite the saint everyone makes him out to be.
He was the head of UmKhonto we Sizwe, (MK), the terrorist wing of the African National Congress (ANC) and South African Communist Party. At his trial, he had pled guilty to organizing 156 acts of public violence including terrorist bombing campaigns, which planted bombs in public places; killing innocent people, many women and children, mostly black. Below are just a few of these:
1981 – 2 car bombs at Durban showrooms
1983 – Church Street Bomb (killed 19, wounded 217)
1984 – Durban car bomb (killed 5, wounded 27)
1985-1987 – At least 150 landmines on farm roads (killed 125)
1985 – Amanzimtoti Sanlam shopping centre bomb Dec 23 (killed 5 (3 children))
1986 – Magoo’s Bar bomb (killed 3, wounded 69)
1986 – Newcastle Court bomb (wounded 24)
1987 – Johannesburg Court bomb (killed 3, wounded 10)
1987 – Wits command centre car bomb (killed 1, wounded 68)
1988 – Johannesburg video arcade (killed 1 unborn baby, wounded 10)
1988 – Roodepoort bank bomb (killed 4, wounded 18)
1988 – Pretoria Police housing unit, 2 bombs (wounded 3)
1988 – Magistrate’s Court bomb (killed 3)
1988 – Benoni Wimpy Bar bomb (killed 1, wounded 56)
1988 – Witbank shopping centre bomb (killed 2, wounded 42)
1988 – Ellis Park Rugby Stadium car bomb (killed 2, wounded 37)
Late 1980s – numerous Wimpy Restaurant bombs (killed many, wounded many)

Also, look up “Necklacing”; of which Mandela and his wife were great proponents of…

Except that Nelson Mandela was spending life in prison during all of the above-mentioned incidents. He was freed in 1990. Necklacing appears to have been Winnie Mandela's MO, as again, Nelson was incarcerated when this became popular in the 1980's.

Speaking of snowflakes, I think Hilary has totally lost it.

She's blaming her election loss on, among a host of other things, no support from the DNC! Um, is this the same DNC that engineered for her to win the nomination over Bernie?!

http://www.cnn.com/...sts/top-news-videos/

She also threw out Comey, Putin, Russia, the FBI, the media, misogyny, wikileaks, and a bunch of other excuses... I think she needs therapy, seriously.
