I've got one. Why the heck do people think putting cole slaw on BBQ is good? That's nasty!
So you're not really from Florida or anywhere else in the South, are you?
LOL - I have lived in Florida for all but 2 years of my 55 years. No respectable place in Florida puts slaw ON their BBQ. Now, plenty serve it as a side - but I haven't seen any put it on the BBQ. Granted, I haven't eaten BBQ in every state in the south, but I just haven't seen it being done.
Ever heard of Moonlite BBQ in Owensboro, KY? Apparently it has a yuge reputation for BBQ.
https://www.moonlite.com/ - I worked Owensboro for 2 weeks last summer and wasn't able to get by there, even though everyone said it was really good. It was always packed when I drove by, but I was usually sweaty and smelly from climbing roofs and didn't want to ruin everyone's appetite. I was in Colorado Springs and was talking to someone who was from Owensboro. He and his wife were aghast that I hadn't eaten there.
So, after a trade show in KC, I drove a bit out of my way so my daughter and I could stop by there for lunch. It was pretty good. Their sides were really good. I didn't see anyone putting slaw on their BBQ. They put sauce, but not slaw. So, that settles it. :)
