Who watched FSU v ND last night?
Is it my imagination, or does every team that FSU faces paint a big ol' National Champ bullseye on every one of those boys jerseys and then proceed to play them at a level way beyond their norm - Like they have nothing left to lose? Or is FSU just adept at making any team look GREAT, before they finally say, "Okay, fun time is over, we win."? Or are they truly and intently trying to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, only to be forced to spit it back at the last second and take a bite of win? Maybe they're experts at Russian Roulette?

An ESPN announcer commented a few weeks ago that FSU was like a cat,...and that it was running out of lives. Do you think this habit of playing teams close will turn and bite them someday? Or do you think that playing close, tough games makes a team stronger, mentally tougher and better prepared to take any opponent to the wire and walk away with the trophy?

They are playing in nailbiters like the Don Coryell led "Cardiac Cards" from the 70's made famous! My heart disagrees with this style of play. What calms my nerves and provides tremendous viewing pleasure is a 72-0 beatdown of the opposing team.

Tonight's game broke my heart when ND won...but then the flag for the illegal pic flew and we were alive! The boys got pressure on the QB, forcing the quick, inaccurate throw and up from the ashes FSU arose one more time!

Twenty-five years and my life is still
Trying to get up that great big hill
of hope

FSU is not as good as last year, especially on D. They lost a lot of talent. ND isn't that good. Last time we were told they were a top 5 team, they got their brains beaten in during the BCS Championship game.

I agree with what JSA said about the defense. Last year they were tough, tough, tough. This year they miss tackles, blow coverage and then commit personal fouls when they do make plays.

I don't think they are as good as they were last year. They do have confidence from the close games and I think that helps.

I am starting to get the feeling we are not going to have an uber force team this year. The 4 playoff teams....who the heck knows! I can't imagine FSU finding a way to lose to an ACC team as long as Winston is under center so they are actually my closest guess to a lock for the playoff. I did take notice at the rhythm Bama had on offense when they turned Simms loose in read/option sets WHEW! That is a first for me to see that kind of play calling from a Saban team. Can't wait to see the reception Kiffin gets in Knoxville next week wooohoooooooooo!

Their defense is mediocre, they can't run the ball, and their OL is not good despite starting four (supposedly) top-3 round picks, but they do have Famous Jameis and they just score points. They are not even close to as good as they were last year, but Winston just wins.

I didn't watch the game at all, but looking at the box score, how did FSU win? They were beaten in literally every statistical category, I did see Golson threw two picks.

They had a few big plays. If ND didn't suspend their starting cornerback (who has not been accused for raping anyone, signing over 2000 articles of memorabilia, or shoplifting) I don't think they would have had those big passes. ND should have won IMO. FSU will get the piss beat out of them if they go up against and SEC, PAC 10, or Big 10 team in the playoff.

Big 10, Pac 10.......snicker. SEC maybe, but not brains beaten in. The other 2 conferences have nothing.

That last penalty was a tough one. It had no baring on the play and they were both pushing each other.

ND is never as good as everyone says they are.

How does Danny Hart sit down with balls that big?

It was the most blatant example of screening I have ever seen. And I officiate high school. A blind mule could have called it.

ND's offense needs work, FSU's defense is good but not that good. Overall ND controlled the whole game, their defense held FSUs offense to reasonable levels, the Irish's front line barely let Winston have time to throw the ball. It was fun to watch Winston play and how good he is, but also fun to watch how they struggled to figure out the ND defense, especially in the first half.

I didn't see the last few minutes so I can't comment on the call (sounds like it was the right call), but watching the rest of the game ND should have won.

I totally had a baring on the play. The wr could have done a better job at playing it off. He blew that play for ND

Mr Official....Mr Official......there's only one problem with your statement. They called the penalty on the other receiver, not the guy in the slot. Thanks for your expertise anyway.

Nah, even if Prosise plays it clean ND still scores. That being said you're right, I watched it again in slow mo and it was the right call, all Prosise had to do was try and move to the side a bit and he probably would'nt have been called.

He wasn't last week when he gifted them a win against Stanford

You don't get that call on the road. I thought the right move would have been a fade to Robison. They did run a pick on an earlier touchdown and the coaches asked the refs to watch for similar actions later. That is what got them in that pickle in my view.
