I had no idea he ever did this as a serious attempt at performance art. It's even funnier when he's not intentionally lampooning himself.

Under The Bridge is a Chili Peppers original.

Shinedown redoing Simple Man is amazing.

The Pixies covering Head On by The Jesus And Marry Chain is super fantastic.

I am big fan of Pete Yorn. I love his cover of suspicious minds. Although the quality of the version on my ipod is much better than this:

I was wondering if anyone would mention this. Classic.

BTW, the artist is actually "Art of Noise" with Tom Jones ;-)

My fave cover?

I was watching The Tonight Show a couple of years ago and watched Rob Zombie, in an unlikely duet pairing with Lionel Richie, perform Brickhouse. It was actually pretty good. That Shatner was hilarious.

I just heard the Man In Black do Neil Diamond's Solitary Man. Not better, but certainly an emotional weight to it.

I have heard it said, and I agree completely, that when Johnny Cash sings about pain you have to believe it. He can take a song and make you hear the lyrics in a new way...in almost a contemplative and melancholy way.
