I'm still stuck on the rules from the first year. They applied the ITU elite rules to all ... 68! Folks that showed up with 2 piece outfits had to wear duct tape around their waist. Line up was 75 spot blue and white mat across the waters edge. They called us up one by one. First one up had first spot selection and so on. When they called me up, I turned to all the college kids and said something like "who's your daddy?" It was really cool, but I sure felt me age in that crowd.

How many "move it grandpa" did you get in the draft packs... (i kid i kid)

With itu going to DL for sprint worlds, there will be more opportunities each year for AG athletes to race. The one good thing I like is that they have relaxed some on the rules that elites have to always follow. Allowing it to atleast give AGers the opportunity to try it. I know there will be the worlds DL qualifier likely 1st of nov again (I dont know if location has been set).

Yea. That is pretty crazy. I fortunately have not had any encounters with gators- cycling, running, or swimming in local lakes here in central Florida. Good amount of open water swimming around Clermont.
There's a well known lake to swim at: Lucky's lake that you receive a sticker after your first time out there that states "I survived Lucky's swim!" And a picture of a gator on it.
You should be in the clear if you're training down here!
