Hid,

Will these be available in women's sizes. No - I'm not a cross dresser but my wife might like them.

Does anyone know how Sugoi's sizing runs (big or small)?

Also, Hid, is there a way to combine shipping if we buy shorts and top?

Lastly, are these tri tops going to be semi mid driff showing? As a clyde I'm a little self conscious of how much belly I show off.

Thanks for putting this all together.

I would say small. Luckily the sizing chart is really accurate. At 5'10", 160 lbs I wear an XL top and I don't consider myself a big guy :-)

Also, Hid, is there a way to combine shipping if we buy shorts and top?

I was trying to set something like that up but couldn't figure a way to do it through PayPal and I didn't want to take on the expense of using a shop service.

I don't have any problems with my Sugoi tops riding up.

I'm not Hid, and don't really know any of the details - but I would imagine that these tops are built from the same patterns that they offer to everyone. Looks like a nice 3/4 length zip to me. :)

What's the profit percentage of the cafe press gear? I'm just curious because $7 for a TSR sticker seems pretty steep, but if I knew that $4 or 5 of it was going directly into the fund, then that's cool.

Hid,

These are awsome. I'm all over this, and would like to get at least two pairs of shorts and two jerseys, but it will only let me order one at a time. WTF? Do I just submit four to six orders? That seems like a real complicated way to fly.

I'm also unclear on the sizing. I know Sugoi runs small, but I usually wear M shorts and L jerseys at 6-0 170lbs. Someone below says he's 160 and wears XL. I hate loose jerseys for a tri, so if it just doesn't fit, is there any way to return them.

Also, will you be over-ordering so you can continue to sell them after the initial order? Maybe I can just get one set and make sure of the fit before "stocking up."

OK, Hid, just ordered a top and tri-shorts, if you can combine the shipping and refund me if possible, great. They look cool and I'm just wondering what the cover story for the bishop will be. Sugoi tri-shorts are very nice, and are indeed quick drying as Tom D has documented, if anyone's wondering.

2) the slowtwitcher who raises the most money for this undeserving cause will get his/her choice of Cervelo apparel (top+bottom or a one-piece, cycling or tri).

Which begs the question...which colours will Hid fly? Or will he go overboard on being noble and donate said apparel to Tibbs..so he matches? Inquiring minds.

I will try to answer all the questions that came up since the time I went offline last night.

People ordering more than one item - I will try to organize the shipments so you receive one package and include a check for the difference in shipping.

Amount of Money Raised - The amount includes donations made for companies to have their logos on the tri tops. If no tops are sold then their donations are not collected. So we really need to sell at least an orders worth (12 units) of tops. The amount also includes a few sales from http://www.cafeshops.com/tsrshop and approximately $520.00 of donations from people on Slowtwitch.com and Trinewbies.com.

Shipping outside of the USA - I thought PayPal figured that out for me but I guess I was wrong. I will have to figure out shipping from San Jose, CA. USA to where ever you are. I'll most likely be contacting those people via email.

Why Not Stop at the P2K - I find this to be a funny form of thinking considering the over achieving nature of triathletes. Nuff said.

Why do we help someone we don't know - Easy, we are civilized, good natured people. Plus a lot of us do know eachother.

Which Gear will Hid Wear - I'll start by saying that I didn't do any part of this so I could get free gear from Cervelo. Between creating the graphics, setting up the shops, answering emails, contacting companies for donations; I've easily spent a 3k worth of my time on this - I could have bought a lot of gear for that. With that said, what I will wear depends on the day. I have enough gear to ride 8-days without wearing the same thing twice but I will definitely accept the gear from Gerard. I will of course race in my TSR gear :-)

Playboy vs Hustler - I'm not touching this one.

dunno, besides the usual crap about it being more artful and because of the articles. though if i ever get the unrealistic opportunity attend a party at the playboy mansion, i would be much thankful for the revenues which created the playboy empire.

not to say the p2k is no prize (proud owner of one). hot, fast, and dangerous. but i tend to think that tibbs would prefer the sluttier bike.

ok. fair enough. Benevolence is good. Helping those you know, or don't know can be good. Also, it seems true that a lot of people do know others who post here.

But you didn't answer the real question: Why are we buying someone a bike? Why does he deserve a bike? Is he disabled? In some legitimate way unable to buy his own bike? Wouldn't our donated money and fund-raising efforts be better spent exposing kids to endurance sports. Someone who may not otherwise have the means to buy a bike, or running shoes. That seems to make much more sense than buying an internet entity, who appears to be a functioning adult (haha), a new bike.

I can just see the Tibbs Street Crew riding in on their Cervelo's with hockey sticks in hand to give me a good old beat down for asking questions.

2) I enjoy internet anonymity. Don't we all? Or will that be breached here?

3) Do you really think I'm the only person with more than one user profile here? HA! Half of those OT-political threads are just someone talking to themselves.

Mister Tibbs,

Lacking the extensive and generous fanbase that you have developed, I just recently purchased by first tri bike with my own $. So I probably won't be involved in what I'm about to propose. However, in the spirit of team secondhand racing, when you receive your P3, you could logically pass your current bike along to another needy individual*. So my questions are:

1) what are you going to upgrading from, and

2) Will we see a "Win Mr Tibb's old bike" contest in the future. To be presided over soley by you, of course. But preferably held on the slowtwitch forum. Essay contest perhaps -- "Why I deserve to own Mr. Tibbs' old bike in 150 words or less". Maybe a challenge of wits -- "Explain Mr Tibbs' psyche without using the letter e" I'll leave the details up to you.

* Needy individuals only. The allure of owning an authentic piece of Mr Tibbs memorabilia must be resisted by all those who already have decent bikes.

BTW, if you know Auckland, then today is the shittiest day of the year so far. Typical Auckland - 7 degrees and 80k winds one minute, 15 degrees and sunny the next. Went out for the friday morning ride and basically had horizontal rain and 70k winds in our face, so we jacked it in and went to a cafe instead. Much more sensible.

That would require me to total all sales of tops and shorts, figure out shipping costs and taxes. Quite honestly, I only want to figure out that once. Right now we have a total of 43 combined sales or tops and shorts. There is around $10 of profit built into each top so we should be near $1,450.00.

I've been trying to find a store with Sugoi tri-gear so I could try out the size before ordering, but I haven't found one. Sice I don't want to miss the deadline, iIs anyone else here, who is buying the TSR racing gear, around the following "dimensions?"

Height: 6'3"
Weight: 190
Inseam: 34
Waist: 35-36

If so, what sizes are you buying? I'm tall and fairly thin, and would probably wear an XL tri-short. The problem is the top. I don't want the midriff showing (which I think might happen with the XL), but I'm afraid the XXL top will be too loose.

Anyone have Sugoi tri-gear that can help with sizing?

I am

6' tall, 177 lbs, 42 inch chest, 32-33 waist.

I tried them on and I went with large shorts and a 2x top. the xl top would have worked but I found it a little tight. The xl was much longer than my 2x louis g and about the same as my L desoto top.

Hope that helped.

Dr. Doom the page http://mrtibbs.almaneih.com/ shows one of the early concepts but is not the final version. The order page (http://mrtibbs.almaneih.com/order.html) shows the final version.

To order more than one you select the size you wich to order and click 'Buy Now,' you will then be presented with an option to increase the quantity.

I've addressed multiple orders in an earlier post.

I'll send you a PM with how you can send your money for the sponsorship logo.

Look at it this way...or that way. Now if look at it right here it looks diffrent then it did over there. If we throw some light on it here and created some more shadow on that side then it will look more like that. Take two super trooper spots and hit it from 35 degree angles you would see it is really bright from the front row. I could take 8 frenils on the number one track and 3 pars on the 3 track with blue and red gels then you have it like this.

That is how I look at anyway.

If some is ever designed and sold then yes it will take 2 hours off an Ironman and 23 seconds off a half. The math looks wierd but it's science. I don't see a design for the gear till sometime next year.

I'd get the Large, at least. I'm a thin 6'3" 190 lbs with 36 waist. The XL shorts are too small for me. I'm getting XXL top and XXL shorts, and praying the XXL top is long enough (I hate the bare midriff look).

Hid, what's happening, no shipping info, and I thought today was the deadline. Want to order, but don't want to double the cost with shipping. I can figure it out on the USPS site if you can tell me where you ship from, and what the weight of shorts and top would be.

Cheers,

Justin.

I get weird figures when i tried from their site. Sorry for not getting back you, we released quarter endings today which means I've been slammed.

I just tried usps and a 1.5lb package going air mail letter post costs $12.50. There are size restrictions but I don't think shorts and a top will be a problem there unless they're going in a box. If they go in a jiffy bag or similar it should be fine.

I'll put the order in now.

Thanks for all your hard work.

Cheers,

Justin.

Had to send a seperate email with the shipping address, paypal won't let you have an address out of the US, and there is no paypal in Brunei. Fortunately I have a stash of money in my US paypal from the ebay sales I did before leaving.

Cheers,

Justin.

I don't know anything about ETA's, but the paypal went through, so I'm assuming he's placed the order and it's now up to Sugoi.
