I use a french press and whole bean coffee from Costco. Costs about $5 a pound. I use their grinders and ground about half the bag at a time (we shop Costco like every other week)
When traveling I look for Peets and Caribou - never found a Starbuck's I liked.
2nd to the Black Rifle - but $5 a pound is plenty good enough.

BTW, I sweeten with honey or agave, or raw sugar as a last result . . . pure sugar kills coffee for me (so go black).
