It's okay if you put it on there for a fitting. Dimond just doesn't want consistent and hard riding workouts done on the trainer. Noodling around for an hour for a fit is not really an issue.

As for not being able to use it on a trainer... that's not something that concerned me one bit since I never ride my tri bike on the trainer. I can't ride in aero for more than 10 minutes on a trainer. Outside I can ride for hours in aero. Indoors it's torture. So I have one of my road bikes affixed to my trainer 24/7.
